Measure H

Keeping Our Community
Safe & Strong

Vote Yes on H to maintain our public safety services, fire stations, libraries and way of life in Butte County

As residents of Butte County, we value community. We work hard, and step up when needed— neighbors helping neighbors, and communities working together to support each other through good times and bad.

In recent years, we have been hit hard by the Park, Camp & North Complex fires, floods, and droughts.

As our communities continue to recover, Sacramento money grabs and unfunded mandates have put Butte County resources at risk.

The need for services and costs continue to increase, but local government funding to help has remained flat or been reduced.

Our rural fire stations are already staffed below the recommended number of firefighters— affecting medical and fire emergency response times.

Our sheriff’s patrols need greater support to prevent theft and property crimes, protect abused and neglected youth, and to keep Butte County safe.

What about fiscal responsibility?
The County has done its part by tightening its belt

Eliminating staff, sheriff deputies, and firefighter positions.

Cutting programs.

Reducing county resources and library hours.

There is very little left to cut

Butte County is nearing a financial cliff in the next budget year.

More reductions will be required, and they would be catastrophic for our residents.
